Matera Tour of the Sassi

A tour of the Sassi districts along beautiful paths, discovering the typical courtyards surrounded by cave-houses. Breath-taking views will frame the fascinating history tale of one of the oldest cities in the world, following a scenic route that winds around stairways, squares and alleys, often running along rooftops.
During the walk you will visit an ancient rock church with medieval frescoes, a water collection system, a typical cave dwelling, a tuff quarry transformed into a contemporary auditorium.
