A few practical things before you ride.
What happens if my hire bike breaks down on the road?
If you have any problems or breakdowns, you can count on our support to find the best solution (e.g., on-site repairs, bike replacement, etc.). Your roadbook includes the contact number of our support team. We’ve been doing this for over twenty years; we’ve seen most things and have a plan for them all.
Do I need cycling experience to ride an e-bike?
Not at all. E-bikes are a fantastic option if you haven’t been cycling for long, are travelling with a partner at a different fitness level, or want to spend more energy enjoying the scenery than grinding up hills. That said, it’s recommended that you have basic cycling confidence, are comfortable riding on roads, and can handle a bike independently.
Do you cater for children and family groups?
Yes. We have children’s bikes starting from roughly age 8 (depending on height), and child seats available for hire (max 25 kg). E-bikes with a child seat are a particularly popular option for families. For family bookings, we recommend a conversation before you commit, so we can make sure the route and pace match your children’s ages and energy levels.
Can I fit my own pedals to your bikes?
We stock all kinds of pedals in our shop, but you’re welcome to fit your own if you prefer.
