A tour across the enchanting Valley of Trulli
Visit Alberobello, famous for its iconic trulli
Visit Alberobello, famous for its iconic trulli — conical limestone dwellings built entirely without mortar, showcasing a unique dry-stone craftsmanship that earned the town UNESCO World Heritage status in 1996. Walk among the whitewashed cones, still roofed in the local chianche stone, and discover how this distinctive construction method became one of Puglia’s most recognizable landscapes.
From there, head to Locorotondo, officially one of ‘The Most Beautiful Borghi of Italy’, where the old town’s circular layout and tightly packed white houses give the village its name. Surrounded by vineyards producing the local Locorotondo DOC wine, it’s one of the Itria Valley’s most photogenic corners.
The day closes in Martina Franca, among the finest Baroque towns of Southern Italy, its historic centre built around the 17th-century Ducal Palace and framed by ornate church façades and wrought-iron balconies.
